The genius of Mozart remains supreme in this fantasy masterpiece with its incomparable flow of heavenly music. The Magic Flute was a huge success from the beginning. The fairy tale begins with a handsome young prince lost in a valley. The bird-catcher Papageno and Prince Tamino go off on a quest to save the beautiful Pamina, daughter of the Queen of the Night, and find themselves on a magical journey. Opera Memphis favorites John Miles and Erin Windle star as Papageno and the Queen of the Night. Directed by Opera Memphis' Dale Morehouse, this performance will feature a new production commissioned by the Tennessee Bicentennial.
